Angela’s Place is a unique 20 unit transitional housing support program located in Mississauga, Ontario for families experiencing homelessness operated by Services and Housing In the Province (SHIP).

We offer case management addressing employment and housing support, along with community resource referrals. Additionally, diverse individual and family programs offer healthy living workshops, leadership, community, homecare and more, with a focus on well-being and life skills. Our SHIP team at Angela’s Place also coordinate family-friendly events focused on wellness and child/ youth specific activities.

The program provides families experiencing homelessness, safe secure short-term housing for a maximum of 364 days.

Our Team

Intake & Housing: Conducts intake, assists with linkages and referrals, works in partnership with SHIP’s Landlord Collaboration Committee (LCC), assists with move out and aftercare

Case Management: Individual and family supportive counselling, consultation, assessment, safety planning, treatment geared toward individuals and the family unit.

Wellness Coordinator Delivers a range of therapeutic, wellness, physical and leisure activities and develops/enhances on-site activities and events for the families at Angela’s Place.

How To Apply

To live at Angela’s Place, you must be:

  • A family (one or two parents with a least one dependent)
  • A resident of the Region of Peel and/or intend on maintaining residence in Peel
  • Of low income status or currently receiving OW or ODSP
  • Experiencing homelessness, at risk of homelessness or residing in a shelter
  • Committed and motivated to participate and work collaboratively with Angela’s Place Staff toward goal attainment
