Reporting to the Director of Information Systems, we are currently looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for planning and overseeing all major projects at SHIP to ensure they are implemented in a timely manner, within budget guidelines, and in support of the organizations strategic plan.
These projects include any and all transformative changes at SHIP which may include changes to IT, HR, Finance, Office Services, and any new initiatives as required. They will help plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way.
Duties & Responsibilities
Planning and Monitoring
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Develop full-scale integrated project plans and associated communications documents in collaboration with communications
- Effectively set, communicate, and manage project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
Project Support
- Create full project lifecycle plan with all associated elements
- Ensure effective and on time and budget delivery of projects by identifying risk, scope creep, and etc.
- Work with program managers to ensure effective tracking and management of resource allocation
Project Implementation
- Establish effective change management process for the organization as it relates to new programs, systems, services, operations and infrastructure
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
- Act as a Trusted Advisor to consult the business on scope and business case development
Organizational Change Management:
- Design Change Management to enhance organizational SOP and rollout of new processes and initiatives
- Integrate organizational change plan which may include communication, coaching, training and knowledge transfer
- Provide risk measurement, transition, and sustainability plans, as appropriate to support the project/initiative
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Business or Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, or equivalent
- 5 + Years’ experience as Project Manager or equivalent
- PMI, PMP, or Six/Lean Sigma certification is considered an asset
- Knowledge of the Healthcare sector or work experience in a Non-Profit organization is an asset
- Demonstrated knowledge of change management tools used in healthcare and/or community care settings is considered an asset
- Experience developing continuous improvement projects within IT infrastructure or equivalent
- A vehicle, valid driver’s license, and adequate insurance coverage
Working Conditions:
- Day shifts (Monday – Friday) with the ability to work excess/overtime hours where required
- Travel by vehicle to community sites for client support as required
