The Problematic Substance Use Program is a partnership with Peel Addiction and Referral Centre (PAARC).

This vital partnership was created to assist individuals in meeting the challenges of their complex addiction issues. The Problematic Substance Abuse Program is designed to create a supportive environment and circumstances for individuals who frequently access withdrawal management services and other assistance from the addiction treatment system. To maximize the effectiveness of Problematic Substance Use Program, each element of these support services builds on existing addiction treatment systems.

Our goal is to increase the health and social outcomes of people with problematic substance use issues by:

  • Providing stable housing
  • Creating strong linkages with other community services
  • Delivering services based on a harm reduction approach and the recovery model
